Also, my husband and I just finished the MOST AMAZING BOOK ABOUT HOMELESSNESS!!! Please read Under the Overpass by Mike Yankoski. It's the best read on this topic we've ever encountered! Two college aged men live homeless across America for 5 months as a social experiment/spiritual journey and tell their story. It's so poignant and inspiring.
