A brief update!
We just recieved a huge donation from Malden Mills, where Polartec fleece is made. They have generously donated enough fleece to serve as the back of 100 quilts!
Our quiltmaking workshops have been slow but steady and we have about 40 squares complete and another 4 quilts done over the summer that just need to be finished.
Our hope is to give away 10 quilts before the end of this winter, then make the other 90 by fall 2007 and deliver them to Somerville-area transition housing shelters.
In 2008, we hope to do a 1,000 quilts for Boston.
We're looking for volunteers, now more than ever!
